dremel-ing out injector seals in somthing ? besides manifold
anyone know of somthing that works good for putting injector seals in to dremel them out if you dont have a spare manifold around
last time i burned my hand, shot one so far i almost lost it, almost wrecked one etc cause they dont sell those stiffer green ones anymore around here there softer black rubber |
Re: dremel-ing out injector seals in somthing ? besides manifold
you really don't have to dremel those out. put a long pry bar on top of the fuel rail and in between the intake manifold plenum. then attache the screws or nuts.

I did them by hand at the Ontario HMT meet, I'm a hardcore ----------er though, you sound like you have gay mans piano fingers, stop being a ----- and develop some calises. :P

Dont use your hand dumb@$$es! Use a flare wrench that will fit it snug. O0

ya i guess i dont like getting high speed rubber burns i must have puss hands. the newer black rubber seals are alot harder to hold in a round shape in your hand there too soft. i guess im just not gona do it then if that works

I just held em in my hand, be careful they can fly pretty far if you don't hold on ;)

Re: dremel-ing out injector seals in somthing ? besides manifold
Well the seals/bung OD size is just under 7/8". A standard 3/4" copper pipe is 3/4" ID, 7/8" OD, which means the 3/4" fittings are really 7/8" ID. In other words, if you lay down $0.20 on a cheap copper coupler, you'll have a niceholder that you can clamp in a vice. Even if you have to make a side-trip someday to the hardware store to get this, its easily as much time as freezing them, but I can't see how having an ideal sized, clampable holder is worth more to you than the $0.20 you put down on it.
If nothing else, get it from the Homeless Depot and return it the next day. Then slap the returns casheir's ass and call it a good day. :6 |
