I got a used downpipe and adaptor plate for a 14b and decided to take it apart to weld on some bigger pipe. After i took off the piping and put it back on the turbo theres a pretty good difference between the hole on the flange and the wastegate port.



as you can see the flanges hole for the wate gate is very small and off a bit from the wastegate port. i have no clue who made this, is it normal for these flanges to be this off? Im sure it would work but ill probably bore it out to match.

 

Mine was off last year. I havbe a weirracing now and it looks perfect. as long as the flapper can open all the way. It would be better though if the ports matched.

 

when i was looking at it it looked so restrictive. i just dont see how someone can make the flange so off.
