Downpipe (Flexpipe?)

Hello. I was just wondering. Is it important to use a flex pipe for a downpipe. because I just took a whole bunch of bent peices of new exhaust pipe and made a down pipe all the way back.

Well, if you don't want too much stress on the turbo and manifold, i'd rock one

. Just a flexible coupler will also be sufficient.
