Default Downpipe Flange question on .42/.48 trim T3.

I have a T3 taken from a Saab I am going to use on my daily driver SOHC VW. My only question is: will a standard 3-bolt T3 DP flange bolt to this turbo? I got to looking at it and it seems too small.

Here is a pic of the hot side. (outlet measures 2.125 in)

Reason I ask is I have found a good deal on an ATP 2.5" Stainless DP and personally for the price it is worth the extra money to save me time and the hassle of making one. I just cannot find anywhere what the standard size 3-bolt flange is.

Thanks for any and all help..

If you decide to use the internal wastegate housing then a standard 3 bolt flange will work fine. I used a 2.5" 3 bolt flange from a local exhaust shop.

thanks for the info..

So I shouldn't have any problems with the DP then? It is made for a T3 Super 60. They have similar 3 bolts on them I take it?

Not wanting to ask the same thing over and over, but I just want to make sure that I am not going to waste money/time.

Oh yeah, any advice for changing those two long *** studs out? They were meant for the Saab downpipe and are way too long. I imagine some heat and vise grips, or double nut method.. but any have any other advice?

Hopefully I can finish collecting parts and get this built over winterbreak.. has been 1 year in the making to do it right and do it cheap..

There use to be a company on here called BMCrace that had them, they were like 17 bucks,do a google search on them if you still need the flange
