Default Downpipe coatings?

I just finished my downpipe and I'm trying to find a coating that wont burn off, will a high heat paint or powder coat be ok for this?

are you just wanting a coating to make it 'look' better, or are you looking for a functional thermal coating?

basically, I just want it to stop the welds (where the piping is ground and sandblasted) from rusting out.

rustoleum has a high temp engine paint.
there is also bbq paint.
i've used both in flat black. the paint remains but just gets a dark greyish dull color after time.

Thanks, I don't care what it looks like, as long as it doesn't rust.

I used Black BBQ/Fireplace Paint.

Or you could be more effective and Wrap it.

i've got VHT flame proof 1500 flat black spray paint on my intake manifold, ramhorn manifold, turbo exhaust housing, and downpipe and it hasn't burned or flaked off at all.

heat wrapping it will make it rust worse. I used the bbq paint from rust oleum on my turbo mani and it does just fine
