Default downpipe

Which way does the compressor have to face using a a/c compatible manifold? Where can I find info on fabricating my own downpipe and the materials needed? Also what should I do about the exhaust temporarly until I can get a downpipe. Should I just use flexpipe and aim it towards the ground?

Look down the thread list until you find the one that says - "help...I need downpipe advice". That one's simple and informative. Or, you can do a search.

people do it either way with A/C. Check out some pics to get ideas. I'm going to just leave it open until I get the dp welded on, but I'm not driving it anywhere but the muffler shop like that.

For most AC setups, people mount compressor side (towards passenger side)

i wouldn't recommend driving it w/o the downpipe:
1. if the outlet faces your a/c compressor you will certainly toast it w/o the downpipe.
2. i ran mine w/o downpipe and the outlet faced the tranny/clutch bleeder valve and i boiled my fluid and clutch pedal wouldn't release from the floor after a few hard pulls.

if you absolutely need to drive it the the muffler shop don't do any hard pulls.

What the hell did you run it hard for you crazy bastard! lol, you're only supposed to "limp" to the muffler shop.

i had it flatbedded to the muffler shop, the crazieness was the night before when i first got it completed...no front bumper cover with the fmic just smiling. it was just too tempting and i new i was rich enough to not hurt anything. once the fluid cooled it was driveable. fun and crazy.

me and stealthmode almost got rolled when we were rolling around in my car, no front bumper cover, intercooler chillin, and a plume of smoke like a hundred yards long following us.
