ya you DO NOT want this hole to be submerged in oil, you want it above the oil level in the pan.

I Know that guy is joking? Right! No way he can be serious about placing the return line there.

No he wasnt joking and dont poke fun.. anyways the picture is fine... the oil pan is not full of oil while the car is running guys... its less then what you think it is.. So that spot or even a little lower would work to... right or left side of the pan it doesnt matter either

i hope not :o i would even put it a bit higher than where posted that pic. it needs to be where it can flow oil back to the pan without the existing oil level making it stay coked up in the return line.....trust me, that turbo will smoke and throw oil out the exhaust seals so bad, you'll be smoking like cheech and chong!! it happended to me but then i fixed it right away!!

well no offense but if ur the type of guy who just says aww what the hell 4 qrts it is and add 1/2 a qt every week for no reason.. well then yea u have more oil then you need and thats going to be a problem... Higher is better but lower does work... you just need a large drain line.. Do me a favor pour 2 qrts of oil into a pan thats just sitting there.. it could even be water.. then see how much room u have left above that level... And believe me the oil pump has more then 1.2 qrts of oil flowing through motor when its on
