does anyone know how to test a bov
i get bov chatter when i boost more than a couple pounds, but if i give it enough gas to spool the turbo but not create any boost, then let off, i get like a high pitched chirp like how my bov used to sound when i was driving at normal speeds and slowly backed off the throttle. before it was the sound of my bov being open slightly. but now it has become the sound my bov makes when i give it a little gas and let off.
before when i had my old setup with the d15, the bov made a nice clean crisp pshhh, now it chatters. and i have changed nothing. its hooked to the same vacuum lines, only now im running a zc.
and im not even positive that is bov chatter, it could also be turbo surge.
can anyone tell me any way of testing it. i played around with the adjusting nut, but that does ---- all. i even took the bloody thing apart and it was pretty straight forward and all the parts looked right.
btw, its an hks racing bov. (same style as the greddy type s)
