My exaust pipe was rusting around were the muffler shop welded on the hangers. I didn't like the way it looked so i ground off the rust with a wire brush and sprayed on some rust preventing high temp exaust manifold paint. Its been 2 years and it still looks ok. But there is still a little rust forming because we use salt on the roads here in winter, so no matter what, it will rust.
