Default Does the afc hack need an ignition retard???

I was wondering if when using the vafc i also need some sort of ignition retard.

Most of the posts ive seen dont even mention the ignition timing.

most people just retard base timing at the dist. but a BTM would be better.

I run a btm. MSD Boost Timing Master. A vacuum line hooks up to it and let you be able to retarded timing per lb of boost.

You have to retard your timing @ the dizzy w/ the hack b/c of teh way it advances timing at part throttle low rpm boost. I don't know if the BTM is beneficial or not. I don't use one.

Good luck.

I leave mine stock, boosting 9 psi on the hack. No pinging or ---- like that, 2 step colder plugs, and 94 octane
Oh yeah tried retarding the timming at the dizzy, but the car feels like ---- at low end..btm is the way to go if you want to retard timming.

How much hp would i get with the hack at around 10psi with 10.5:1 pistons?

Whats my best bet if i want to go around 350 hp with an obd1 car without spendin alot of cash?
I was told uberdata is good up to 12ish psi but what if i use a 3bar MAP sensor.

Hehe... 8.4/1 compression... 10psi with 2degree adv. on the dizzy and AFC hack and stock dizzy timing on 13psi...

"high compression is better on a honda"... HEhe... I laugh, and smile when there 13/1 compression B19-GSXR DOHC vtec crap shots its $600 rods out the block !!!

How many factory turbo cars came with 9/1 compression and a turbo ?? NONE !!! ( if there is, they aren't important enought to know about ), there's a reason for that....

Prob. right, but with a $800 FMS and $250 in dyno tuning...
I'll stick with my low compression $220 AFC hack solution..
