Do you guys replace your oil filter during your turbo project?

Hi guys,

I'm sure I will get nuke for this so what the F**KING hell, who cares aye..

Just a question here, do you guys replace your oil filter duing your turbo project if you are planning to use an oil sandwich plate or you just reuse the old one?
Yes I know its cheap to replace one but as the saying goes.. "A penny saved is a penny earned"

What are your thoughts.

thanks!

its up to you, id take into consideration how many miles are on the filter. close to a change, ditch it, else make sure the gasket is good to go and reuse.

or spen $3.50 and buy a new one...

i mean its just an engine, if you can do rebuilds for less than the price of a filter why not

If I have to drill a pan on the car, I'll run it for 5 mins then change it.

i would try and blow it out with air, then pour in a qt or two then drain it, then fill to full crank over for a few seconds then drain.

honestly metal shaving floating around for 5 minutes in something designed withing thousandths of an inch doesnt sound like a good idea lol
