Do the 450's tick abnormally loud. After my turbo install I'm hearing a loud ticking sound when on the gas or under boost. The reason I think it might be the injectors and not the valves is because they never ticked that loud before and when I rev it at a stand still the valves are a little noisier.Just not as loud or the same sounding tick when under load. Any input would be great to narrow it down.

my 450s dont tick a lot louder than i remember the 240s doing

 

Every DSM injector I have ever used was pretty ------- loud. I always just assumed it was because it was a larger injector.

mine are pretty damn loud, at first I thought it was my valves and wasted time realizing they were all in spec. Then found out it was the injectors.

 

Thats what I thought cause it didn't sound like every day vavle noise. Probably gonna do a valve adjustment anyways just in case. Is it louder for you guys when your on the pedal or is just loud all the time?

 

I never really noticed that much of a tick running dsm injectors on a dsm.

 

Yeah they tick I ran a pair on my bros dsm to see if they were good and they deffinetly tick.

 

dam, so that's what it is. since i put boost on my car i've heard a tick. didn't sound like valves and my cars' valves wheren't sounding before. whata relief.

 

*my hypothesis*

They tick louder because we are shortening the pulsewidth to lean them out. I doub't they tick really loud in stock dsms but they tick loud as ---- in my car.

 

Um , did you check for an exhaust leak? Thats what my tick was.
