i did lots of testing with that. If you pair together the simultaneously firing runners and feed them in their respective scrolls of the turbine, you do get a nice spool up improvement.
Here I tested it with 1&4 separated from 2&3 and each set independently wastegated:
twinscroll, twin wastegate

you can also do it with one big wastegate.
