Direction of intercooler flow

This has been bugging me for a while now (ever since i bought the stock legacy chargecooler) Do stock factory intercoolers have a better direction of flow? I am making a quick acceleration car with low lag and i am going topmount whilst only using about 1 ft of piping if that.

Basiccally at the moment as I am deciding to modify the pipework on the legacy cooler to suit my needs means the my way the flow of air is in the opposite direction. What are your thoughts on this? Will i have a better flowing cooler if i flow air in the direction it's meant to be ,or is it the same ?

Aother thought I had is what if the from turbo it was 1.75" (turbo) -> 2" -> 2.75" (intercooler) and then again 2" -> to 2.75" (throttlebody). Any thoguhts on this? as this how it is gonn abe flowing with my current plans but if use the stock route of airflow it will be 1. 75" (turbo) -> 2" (intercooler) -> 2.75" throttelbody.

Jabbers.

Re: Direction of intercooler flow

Should be the same both ways, don't worry about it. Unless it's some funky shape that will obviously restrict flow more in one direction, it's a non-issue.
