direct larger swap for T28?

Guys,

Just out of curiosity, is there a turbo that has a larger trim that I can direct swap for a T28 from a mitsubishi eclipse?

I have a 1997 Saturn coupe using that turbo and stock, cast iron downpipe with a log type manifold. I'm using the stock wastegate also which wastes at 8psi (without factory boost controller which wasted it to 11psi).

I want to keep 8psi, just move the power band or when boost comes on a bit higher in the rev range. I'm only using the BEGI regulator for fuel addition and I'm trying to tune for a smaller portion of the power band as opposed to 2300 rpms or thereabouts when the T28 reaches full boost.

This way I can avoid lean mid-rpm zones when trying to lean out the top end power ranges.

Any ideas?

no matter what you do with the turbo, it will not fix the problem. you need to get rid of the begi and get an actual tune. if you want higher end boost then you need a larger exhaust housing. im using a gt35 with the .82ar exhaust housing on my 06 cobalt 2.2 and im getting boost at ~4000 rpm but this is a large turbo made for high power output. your t28 is more than capable of your 8 psi goals you just need to get a larger exhaust housing to increase the lag.
