Please post a write up when you are done. How it worked, how you are using it, was it hard to adapt, that sort of thing.

I have been using that Motorola 2.5 bar MAP sensor for a few weeks now. Works flawlessly with Crome. I did choose to mount it inside as it looks rather fragile. I don't know how well it would survuve in the engine bay. It was quite easy to install, but did require a bit of fiddling with to get part throttle and tip-in smooth, but all is well and I am happy with it.

There is no need to be a complete jackass about it. $18.19 for your information.

First off, beaterKU and racer_X are both personal friends of mine...

I know all of your knowledge levels, and believe me, you're not impressing anyone that matters. As a matter of fact, most of you are a spit toss from being ------- newbs yourselves. So back the ---- off. Let a person prove themselves a -----stain before you treat them like one.

Re: Digi-Key 2.5 bar map sensor

My point was just that people dont bother to research anymore. They would rather just ask for help then to make the effort. On something as easy as finding the price with the part number and where to get it? Or to find the wiring that the link is on the same page as the purchase info? Seems like everyone now a days needs their hands held. I guess we all started like that....

Re: Digi-Key 2.5 bar map sensor

To add some more usefull information here....

I used turboedit ng55 and currently ng60 for 2.5bar maps. I used Xenocrons basemapper with a .75 tipin adjust thingy. Ive got it mounted in the engine bay, has survived rain driving and 90+ weather so far... i e-taped the crap outta it. Its working perfectly like oem... ive run 8 - 10 - 13psi on it so far without issue.

As far as installation... i went to radioshack and got some parts for serial cables, little wire terminal ends that go into a serial plug... then soldered 6inches of wire to 3 of them. Then pushed one over its terminal on the sensor... and taped it. Repeat 3x... then taped the crap outta the sensor. Then on the other end of the wires i put a 4 wire trailer hitch plug ... the other side of that plug i spliced into the stock map harness wires... this way i can go back to stock whenever i need/want to. Boom... works.

Re: Digi-Key 2.5 bar map sensor

Do any of you have a collection of circuits for this map sensor.

Had found this really cool circuit where the guy had hooked up a Digital Boost gauge using just 3 components. A really trick circuit. But now I cant seem to find it.

If you guys have some links to DIY circuits with this map sensor pls post up.
