Ok so I have a HKS SSQ BOV and at 24psi I was hitting 576hp on the dyno today at 76% duty cycle on the injectors with a AIT at 98' but every time the throttle was released the BOV would release the psi"but not enough" and pop a charge pipe. I paid $200 buck for this HKS unit. So I put a Chinese knock off of the HKS and done another 24psi run in the same gear but it hit 562hp with a AIT of 104' and throttle closed and SPHHSSSSSS no charge pipe blown. So I rehook it in like 2min flat and did another run and hit 558hp with a AIT of 97' and it blew the charge pipe again. IS HKS GOING JUNK AND THE CHING CHONGS EXCEEDING THEM? I want to know who runs what and with what PSI with HP involved. DMC1 I got a hook up today for a 3hr free dyno tune because someone prepaid and said the next guy can have it for free..... GOD I LOVE RICH MOTHER HEFFERS.

I just put a 1g DSM BOV on my new set up. It works well. :P

You can adjust those BOV's if I recall. Maybe the spring is too hard?

Ding ding ding! Try turning the spring pressure down on the unit. It doesn't need that much pressure to begin with because it uses boost pressure to hold it shut. Too much pressure and the little amount of vacuum you get between shifts won't be able to open it completely.

well sine 1000hp supras run hks's i'd say you are a ------- reatard more than likely and need to adjust the screw on the back of it

I did what you suggested, comes out to be a class mate in college in my Econ class. A deer jumped out in front of him while he was driving the truck with the car on the trailer and the deer went over the cab and landed right on the glass of his car. He said his insurance company reimburseing him for everything including the dyno run since all waivers had already been sign and that showed as more money invested. I forgot to ask whay insurance he had, cause I want them for an agent. Adjustment screw is more than half way out. At 6 psi it's fine jus to to 14psi, after that charge pipe blow off city. OSOSLOWHATCH good idea but you need to say it a little nicer, I didnt know that once you break the 15psi threshold sit changes so fast and breaks so easily it's hard to keep track.

I cant get my 1g DSM BOV to hold past 16psi, and I tried a crushed one but then it also has the problem of blowing off all the charge pipe couplers when the gas is let off.
So I'm going with a ching chong meow Type-S with stiffer spring added.

Jeff, dual DSM BOVs is a better solution.
