rebuild it, it should spin just a little after you let go unless its bb then a lot....it probably has over 100k on it

Blaast does solid work, for a really good price.

When he does rebuilds, it's not just with generic kits, he actually specs out the right bearings you'll need and you get a 6 month warranty.

I'm sending my T3 in shortly.

Make sure you mark down exactly where the compressor sits on the shaft or else you will throw off the ballance and have a ---- turbo yet again, actually it wouldnt hurt to get it re-ballanced when you get the new center section.

Man, at least send that ---- to Blaast, to see if they can rebuild it/balance it. It's 150 bones for pretty much a brand new turbo + 6 month warranty.

Yeah, just buying a center section or a cheesy ebay rebuilt kit will NOT do the trick.
Shooting new parts at the turbo is probably not what's needed. it's just needs some professional love and care. (sandblasting, ploishing, shaft straightening, balancing, and of course, the right bearings and piston rings)
THe loose conical plate is normal. It's the turbine heat shroud.

I would be pleased to take care of it and i can modify that volvo turbine with that stupid round recess in it into a real standard T3 one too....
