Platinium plugs are poo-poo for performance.Platinium is not a great electrical conductor. The manufactors like them because platinium is harder than copper so their is less gap errosion.Thats how they get their"no tune-up untill 75,000 miles".It takes more voltage to spark a platinium because it has so much resistance.Copper way better conductor but softer.Iridium is the best of both worlds. It is 4x harder than platinium and has a higher melting point but takes less voltage to spark than copper because it has lower resistance.

too bad denso iridium is like $12 bux a pop. Just get some colder NGK for like 2 bux each.

Iridium plugs are expensive but they will last 2-3x longer than copper.
