D16Z6 Turbo Kit
 

Hey whats up? I am getting ready to buy a OBX-R Turbo kit. It comes with everything I need to bolt right on. Does anyone know if this is a good kit? I believe it is a T3/T4 turbo. Also does anyone have any better suggestions for me? Thanks for your help.

Well, first I want to say Hey, welcome!

Next, this site is called HOMEMADETURBO.com, not buyaturbokit.com

ODX is ----, edelbrock makes a good kit though. But I highly suggest that you look into building a custom kit for the following reasons.

1. You WILL learn valuable information regarding your engine, car and mechanics in general
2. The kit you build will save you money unless you kit is stolen
3. You wont get flamed ;D

OBX = no good
prefab kits = no good

A homemade turbo kit is cheaper, and is a lot more taylored to "your needs". If you want an all out drag monster on a SOHC civic, put a SVO turbo ( or simular ) on it, if you want a auto-x-ing mofo, get a TD04L, if you want a middle ground between the 2, get a .42.48 volvo ( or simular ) turbo or DSM T-25.

You will also learn more about turbocharging and the way it works than most certifed dealers know.

PS: It will require time and lots of foul words.

yeah. OBX sucks balls!! Just put together a kit or if you really want to buy a kit, the greddy kit is not too shabby...
