Default d16z6 turbo

currently i have a d15b7 turbod 8psi, and am looking at getting a d16z6 spare motor could i run the d15b7 ecu with the p28 base through uberdata and then add for boost? and still have vtec?

Your talking about running a Vtec engine with a non Vtec ecu. You will not have Vtec activation unless it's converted to P28 specs.

correct...so if i put the p28 bin from uberdat in my dx ecu i should be able to run vtech?

no you have to convert other hardware within the ECU to basically turn it into a p28. it takes more than a bin.

well he may not have to do anything. it depends on his year and coupe, sedan, or hatch and where it was made. I put a whole z6 swap in and i didn't have to wire the oil pressure or vtec switch wire. My sedan was made in canada and in 92. All models made in Canada in 92 were prewired for vtec.
