No I don't own one. But more than likely who ever does is dissapointed with the results seen when compared to how much money they spent.

I personally would have a reliable track ready Turbocharged engine (with well over 200whp) if I spent $2,600 on mine, w/new hoosiers (sp?)

supercharging... Not worth it in my book but I'm sure Jackson Supercharge and Vortech have some dynos up on it...

This one is from jacksonracing.com with a 3.8 pulley on d16z6... its about 10hp per psi similar to turbo

But note that at higher compression the supercharer will become more of a parasite than anything else...

For $2329.00 I still couldn't justify 142hp.

Greddy Turbo Kit for 92-95 D16Z6:

92-95 |Civic EX VTEC(TD04H-15G)|GRY-11550021A |$1489.00

Even w/out the intercooler, you can make more power, plus you could always buy one from less than $300.

I most definately agree with you on that. With the 2g you can get a CRX and get it boosted and still whoop that supercharged EX.

little mods make a huge ass differance. you can pick up one on honda tech for around 900 bucks. and just upgrade the pully.. bigger tb and some stand alone and your good to go (those dyno charts are with FMu's)

the SC is only for people who dont' wanna work on their cars.. its more reliable but more pricey and less power gains.... but once again, its going to be more reliable.. its up to you if you just want something thats decently quick yet reliable. thats just my opinion.

Re:d16z6 supercharged?

The real reason SC's are more reliable is because changing pulleys to change boost is a lot less inviting then opening a valve or hitting a button ;) The urge to boost higher has to be pretty damn big for people to get their ass in gear to change the boost. It's less of a, hey let's see what happens at 15 PSI, kinda thing.

Take that cash and build a low PSI D16 with a smaller turbo, you'll still make more power, it'll still have torque down low, and if you can keep the boost low and tune it well, then it'll be just as reliable. Just hide your boost controller from yourself... ::)
