d16y7 engine (96+ civic), what honda manifold can be used?

I know there's gotta be a way to search for it but I'm not finding anything. There's gotta be a link here that explains what manifolds will work on this engine to go turbo isn't there? can someone help me out since I can't find it? THe only ones i found is people saying thy used a 'honda manifold' but I need to know specifically what year's one can be adopted to be used as a turbo manifold.

Thanks.

umm...a lot of people use your stock one. and the manifold people are referring to is the hf mani (comes on some others too). just use your stock one and cut it off, then weld a flange on there for the turbo

well I think the guy wants to put it back to stock later. Isnt't here like a two piece manifold that can be used? That way you use the header manifold and just slap on an adapter plate right?

Any year HF manifold work?

No 2 piece works for turbos. They are too close to the block. you need 88-91 civic std, 88-91 CRX HF, or 92-95 civic CX. Those are the 4 bolt flange type. Or do like me and many others and build one. ;D

well he wants to do as cheap as possible. :P So those three you mentioned will fit on his 96+ d16y7 engine? same porting and bolt patterns?

yes, thay are all d-series. the cheapest woul be to hack up the stock one and weld a flange on

or you can buy an HF mani for 50 shipped, if not less.

One thing I'm not sure of is if the ports on the HF manifold will match up with the exhaust ports of the D16Y7?

I'm assuming they will since it's off of another D16...

I had 3 bad valves and was lazy to change to change them. I think the y7 head got better design and better air flow then the a6.
