Re: d16y5 and boost (fuel managment)
Now are you just using the y5 engine or is this an actual HX civic? If it's just an engine then just use any FM program out there for which OBD you are. If your OBD2 then best bet would to go to OBD1 or if all else fails. THen just get a greddy blue box or vafc and lower your vtec to about 3k. It's gonna take alittle longer for a turbo to spool up with only 3 valves opening and on the weaker lobe instead of having all four open and on the most aggressive sohc cam lobe in any USDM d-series. Just lower your vtec and boost away and don't worry about all that vtec-e ----... If your just using the engine.

on TJ's CRX, he runs a d16y5. we just set the vtec crossover to 2500rpm.
forged internals and a big 16g turbo, 24psi, 11.50@130mph pegleg on big slicks.

yeah ive actually found out alot lately.
Basically converting to obd1 with p28 And doing what you said (llowering the vtec) A guy on honda-tech has a basemap for me.
But you just have to convert the 5 wire to a 4 wire. ( the seconday o2 is 4 wire) Prolly just hard wire it in And then pretty much good to go.
