Default Is the D16A6 oil pan the same as D16Z6

I have a del Sol with the Z6 and an A6 block just sitting around. Is the A6 oil pan the same as the Z6. If so I can just use that and won't have as much downtime on my car. I assume that it is since they are both D series, but I'm not positive.

They both share the same bolt pattern on the block, but the Z6 pan is deeper.

If you wanna use the A6 pan then you are going to have to use the A6 oil pick out too, and you'll lose some oil compasity.

My friend is using a Z6 oil pan with an A6 engine ( which means his oil pick-up isn't as low as it should be ) but his car hasn't died... YET.

But in your case( which was my case also ), you'll just have to swap the oil pick-ups and lose some oil...

I choose to just have a little bit Down-time and have a better oil pan ( keeping the Z6 oil pan ).
