Default D16a6 back on the road new turbo

hey i need some info before friday when i replace my head gasket..
im gonna get 2 head gaskets that are for milled heads " thicker then normal" and double the HG up when re installing the head.. im also gonna port out the head too, but is there a certin way to place a doubled up head gasket.. like a up' and down' side?
fill me in and is it good to run 10psi to stock internalls D16A6 ? need to know before i blow it...

and i found a turbo from a 1989 subaru legacy RS "rally sport im guessing, it has the drive transfer **** like the STI i donno the turbo is a IHI RHB5 VF50 its like 3 times the size of a IHI RHB5 VJ11 "mx6 turbo" so its pretty bad *** and it has 60k on it .. so fill me on on the HG question and the recommended boost to run to my A6

thanks..

you could boost 10psi on a single stock headgasket, provided its the 92-95 EX/Si D16Z6 MLS metal gasket.

10psi will be fine on your bottom end provided you have some form of ignition retard and proper fuel enrichment.

I've been told that using a thicker gasket(s) decreases quench area in the combustion chamber, which increases the likelyhood of detonation.

detonation is the killer of motors.

i have a apex-i safc and a mds5 im gonna retard my timing 5 degreeze.. the head gasket company is ROL from advanced suto. i purchased one before for my d15b2 and it has a solid steel jacked "kinda looked like a block guard " and it was 1/4" wide and 1/32" thick the gasket was for shaved heads to make up for the material taked off the head " so therefore it was making up the diffrence" but there 2wice as thinck as a regualr HG and the same price.. im gonna get 2 of em and double them up.. the main question is..

is there a up side and a down side to the gaskets.. i need to know and i need to know any other percautions to look for and tricks to do so it dont leak fluid or compression..

fill me in...

the question im asking is WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE YOUR COMPRESSION SO LOW?

you're using a head gasket thats already twice as thick as a stock headgasket, and then stacking ANOTHER one on top of that. Why?

ok the reason for "stacking head gaskets" is to lower compression. they are still strong, but my stock compression is 9-5-1 but with 2 HG's i can drop to 8-5-1 compression and run 10psi all day... that is y i wanna do that "for now the engine is getting bored 20 over with ross pistons and eagle rods so then i can get a HKS or GReddy headgasket that is thick as hell and not worring about doubling them.. the main question on this poll is :

is it a good idea to double head gaskets
and will they leak?

what is considered high compression?
pe0ple boost 10:1-10:5 motors all day long... if your worried about jsut make sure the extra buck is spent tuning it!

i have a d16a6 bottom end with a d16z6 head and i boost 10psi every day!!! FUEL MANAGEMENT is a HUGE factor!!!! the only way i would stack h/g's is with a copper spacer between them just my .02

I woulndn't use that Lucas crap in anything. Either use Honda MTL or GM Syncromesh. Those are your best options.
