d16 turbo kit info?

Hello, I am facinated with d16 turbos, and I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I own a 2000 civic dx (d16y7) and I am intending to turbo it very soon, but one thing I really would like some feedback on is, where do you get your turbos? Is ebay a good place? If homemade where could I get one made at and are they quality? thnx

thanx alot, That was very informative. Ebay is the main place that I've been looking at for some time now and I was wondering, do you think that they are quality kits on there.

When looking on ebay, ask the seller if the turbo has any bent or damaged fins, cracks on either the compressor or exhaust housing, and if the turbo has any shaft play, (lets you know if the turbo is getting ready to die).
