Re:d16 manifold
BMC racing isn't currently making a A/C compatable mani- i e-mailed him about a week ago and asked him that exact question. He said he'll make an official post when he finishes designing it. Believe me I looked long and hard for a manifold that will retain A/C on the d16, and they simply do not exist at a reasonable cost. And even if you get one that looks like it will it probably won't. I finally gave up and just got an HF mani for like $35. If you can't stand the heat you've got bigger problems to worry about ... your best bet is an expensive manifold and a slimfan!

Re:d16 manifold
Ya i shouldnt be bitchin about the heat i live in idaho so its not to hot. Could i just go to the junkyard and get an hf manifold or would it be easier to buy one off of hmt.

Re:d16 manifold
depends on who you do business with on here, where the junkyard is etc. I got mine off ebay

Re:d16 manifold
I looked high and low to find one too, and decided to make my own, It's costing me $75 for everything.

Re:d16 manifold
well i would make my own but i dont know how. I have never touched a welder in my life or had a chance. But if you know of anybody who makes them dont leave me hangin

Re:d16 manifold
importparts.com sells drag manifolds. They are A/C friendly. Just make sure you can fit a downpipe that clears your fan.
I say ---- the A/C. Turboing a factory N/A car is all about making sacrifices. ;) |
Re:d16 manifold
I just said screw the A/C. It's too expensive for a manifold that will let you retain it. I guess it all depends on presonal choice though.
