d15b7 turbo horsepower?

What kind of horsepower and torque are you guys laying down with a turbo d15b7 (head and block) & at what psi. What kind of times are you running at what psi and all? Best kills? I just wanna know what i can look forward to-

Re: d15b7 turbo horsepower?

yeah, 200 hp FWD in a light car running 13's is slow.

wish I was that fast..............

Wait, I was for less money.

mine just dynoed today and will be posting the dyno sheet this afternoon made 192.3 horsepower on a stock bottom d15b7 7psi,with a d16at si cam...not run at the track yet but we will see...compression checked out accross the board been boosted almost 3000 miles.

Knock knock.

Who's there?

The rods in my b7 after boosting 8 psi on a .48/.60

Re: d15b7 turbo horsepower?

setup:
b7 bottomend
b7 head
si cam
14b turbo
3 inch downpipe
3 inch charge pipes
uberdata
dsm 450's
wideband tuned
si tranny
looped dump
front mount intercooler
8psi thats as much as i would put on the motor...no more my bin file is available if anyone would likeit.

Re: d15b7 turbo horsepower?

3" dp and charge piping is overkill for that setup.

I used 2.5" for both and it works great.

bennyhonda7 07-27-2005 09:15 PM

Re: d15b7 turbo horsepower?

yeah its overkill but i got it off my my friends gsr turbo setup..for 40bux...piping...so i took it and ran. >:D i want to run like you the 2.5 cause the air will have a lil more velocity to it...rather than lower velocity bigger volume.

Re: d15b7 turbo horsepower?

hey jago, if you wanted to push between 10 and 12 psi on a d series, what size piping would be adaquate enough?

Re: d15b7 turbo horsepower?

I just pulled the head on my friends D15B7 last night, after work I threw a new HG on and I need to head over there right now to finish things up.

With 450cc's, chrome eprom, 14b @ 12psi, ect... I am expecting it to be somewhere right about 200whp.

On what turbo? 2.25" might be enough, but going 2.5" couldn't hurt ;)

I would say 200 hp is right around the max the little b7 rods can handle. Any more than that and you are surely gonna pop.

it is getting towards the limits. they are little pencil dick rods, but 200whp/12psi should be alright. We've got good tuning, and lots of fresh parts. I'm not worried about it.
