Default d15b7 map sensor removal

I can't remove mine!

i know its supposed to be two phillips screws that hold the map sensor on. cool...but the bolts don't have the grooves for the phillips driver! its capped! like no grooves at all.

to make it worse, the map is not a top loading, it points towards the firewall.

I can't figure out a way to remove it to install my missing link.

please help.

thanks,
chris

Are you sure it is the map sensor That sounds like the tps to me. The map should have two philips head screws and the tps should have two rivet screws.

Your definatly talking about the TPS sensor. The MAP sensor should be on the top of the throttle body or possibly on the firewall.

Yeah on a d15b7 the map sensor is mounted on the firewall, follow the vaccumm line from the TB and it will lead to the map sensor

Mine isn't. Its right on top of the throttle body. At least it was on top of the throttle body.

Most US D15b7's have top mounted Map sensors, some Candian models had them mounted on the firewall like 88-91's
