I have never had any luck with the 12:1. 8:1 is what I always use.. I always end up running rich with 12:1 for some reason....

For some reason?
It's bc thats 12 psi of gas to 1psi of boost... thats a lot!
On 8 pounds that would be 96 plus ur stock psi...

why use FMU if you are saying run with ECU chipped?

No, I was gonna run FMU, but am contemplating on using a chipped ECU for more reliability.

just run the fmu .. and while ur doin that find ur self another ecu and get that chipped .... 12:1 shud also be fine my buddy used to run an fmu for like a year then he decided to pop the motor at 14 psi (stock d16z6)

with a chipped ecu you no longer need a map bypass nor an fmu you will need larger injectors though. either chip the ecu yourself or buy a chipped one already install everything get it running on a base map(no boost) then drive directly to a dyno facility that knows the program Crome well. you might even be able to run 8psi and your car will run like a factory forced inducted car after it gets off the dyno
