d15 torque questions

Default d15 torque questions

i got a 93 Eg running a d15b7, 14b turbo 9psi and a vx long gear trany. now i know that i have less torque then i would with my stock trany but my clutch dosent hold my power band since i got it tuned, im geting a new one asap. im wondering if i should be worried about my drive axels? any one know what they are rated for whp/torque wize?

stock axles are fine to 250hp/200tq.........

coo thx man. is that with street tires or slicks? and if i do like 4-5k launches dose it make a difrence?

7800 rpms launchs on slicks..........

the axles will be fine, the tranny won't.

breaking axles on street tires at 30ish psi is pretty rare
you just end up spinning

is there like a performance trany swap i can do? if so where can i get it and do you know how much it is around

EX tranny with a OBX or Quaife LSD added.

Expect to pay $1000-1400 for the whole combo

ZC transmission with welded diff and intermediate shaft. Expect to pay $150-300.

and replace axles monthly.......so often Autozone can't keep them in stock

lol ya buy out every store in the lower main land. how much can those tranys handel ? is it direct bolt in to a 15b7 ?
