Default D series Turbo project

if i use an HF manifold, will i still be able to have a/c? i have almost everything to complete the project, except the manifold. i really would like to keep the a/c since its my daily driver. what should i do?? thank you.

no, buy or make your own and good luck on finding an a/c compatibale manifold for cheap

you may be able to with a really custom adapter plate that angles the turbo, but its gonna make the oil lines and down pipe a huge bitch, and you still might not be able to fit it. you'd also need a slim fan for the condenser no matter what manifold you use. not worth the trouble, just roll the window down

I got this car for like the next 5 years so if/when I get rid of a/c I want to sell it on eGay. Dude, that is an EASY $300. Got to convince my Mom to let me though. My Dad said that if I keep it they have to be capped or plugged or something so they don't sit and rust or like screw up or something. How does everyone else do it?

throw it in the garage. you dont have to cap or plug anything just let all the frion and ---- out (dont tell the epa haha)

My Dad says that the moist air in the system will make it all rust in the compressor and the evaporator coil after the freon has left. Nitrogen is the common used gas to prevent rust so you can use it later in life.

so blow it out with an air compressor. mine's been sitting in there for almost a year, hasnt rusted.

id really like to keep my a/c. i may try to figure something out. if not, it is a 4 door, it has 4 windows too lol. its just going to suck when it gets above 100 degrees outside....and i have to wear a suit to work.....oh well, i want a boosted car.
