D-Series Turbo Manifold
ok, my orginal plan for my custom kit for my D-series turbo setup was going to buy a turbo a/c retaining turbo manifold from Stealthmode on this board, but since he has stopped making A/C retaining manifolds like I wanted i need to find another place to buy one at a reasonable cost? Anyone have any suggestions for an A/C retaining, d-series turbo manifold, at a reasonable price around $200 to $250
thanks |
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
---- for that much you could just buy the greddy manifold and its made to keep a/c depending on what car its going on
|
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
well the less I gotta pay the better, but yeah its going in a 98' civic couple with a d16y8 any suggestions on where to buy it from
|
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold

|
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold

Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
he's a member on this site. just look in the for sale section he'll be up top

Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
Here made it easy for you.
https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=16448 But I don't think they're a/c friendly. |
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
Ok - didn't realize the guy on this website who sells manifolds was BMC - that was the one I was going to get. But it says that he doesn't do A/C retaining until further notice so I need some place else to get a manifold!
|
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
I'm going to lose some friends over this, but you could use a Greddy manifold. :o :-X Or a DRAG manifold. :-\

Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
I'm gonna GAIN friends with this, but why do you want a/c? Race cars don't have a/c. ;)
|
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
Ok - I don't want a race car, just not a stock civic either! Hmmm ok - where is a good place to buy a Drag or a Greddy manifold, I have posts up of WTB on this website, hondatrader.com, and superhonda.com I have a few hits but im not sure yet!

Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
I am in the same position as you man. Im looking for an a/c compatible one for a d series and a t3. I am thinking of just doing a custom job maybe.
On the BMC ones, they work with a/c if you get a pusher style fan, which is about 70 bones from summit. |
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
tried SS autocrap, yet? :o ;D
i will be using one let`s see what zup with those. |
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
Im really thinking about doing the same thing (using an ssauto) and trying to brace it or something, because i know they are prone to cracking.
|
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
So a Pusherfan, I can just replace my stock radiator fan, I'm looking at the listings at summit racing right now I take its the 9inch because that's the only one that's $70 the rest are like $200. So this will give me more room in front of the manifold to say run an IC pipe that won't interfer with the A/C compressor that is located at the bottom right of the engine block if I'm facing the engine from the front correct? But if the t3 flanges off to the side than isn't the compressor still going to get in the way? and will I have any problem with downpipe mounting if I use a BMC mani?

Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
ssautocrap pissed me off >:( i'd highly recommend you do not buy one.
http://rustdha1o.home.mchsi.com/cust...cs/turbo12.JPG http://rustdha1o.home.mchsi.com/cust...cs/turbo13.JPG not exactly what i call a/c friendly so i'm going to get a shorty from lovefab.com |
Re:D-Series Turbo Manifold
^^^ reason #32765 why NOT to buy an SSautocrap manifold.
