d series oil pans
Hey guys, just a quick question on oil pan sizes, are all of the d series oil pans the same size? I mean, will a d15 oil pan fit on a d16? and the same question with all the other d series motors. thanks

Re:d series oil pans
Yes. ;D

Re:d series oil pans
what about b series? such as the b20a5 oil pan?
|
Re:d series oil pans
D series doesn't cross with B series..
..and the B20 is the "weird" B series.. I don't think it's compatible with other "B"s. |
Re:d series oil pans
re: the d-series -- yes and no...
they will all bolt up.. but take for example D16A6 vs. D16A1 (88-89 teg) the D16A1 is "deeper" than the A6, but also uses a completely different pickup.. requireing you to re-locate yours.. Take a look at Sonny Van Hook's site http://www.muller.net/sonny/crx/paninstall/ has a better explanation. |
Re:d series oil pans
everybody needs one of these for sure!!

Re:d series oil pans
also is the d16a6 pan exactly the same as the b15b2?
|
Re:d series oil pans
looking at that picture gave me a krink in my kneck.
Shortyz, is that to punch holes in the oil pan or something? |
Re:d series oil pans
The d16y8 pan is different, since the oil pump has a slightly different bolt pattern on it..
But most D-series are swapable... B-series and D-series pans are not swapable.. Jeff |
Re:d series oil pans
no
u put it in your drill mang then u just go as far up the bit as u want the hole. its like having 15 drill bits in one. awsome tool for sheetmetal and drillling firewalls. |
