Default D-SERIES manifold and turbo question?

yo guys . a have project drag car i have to get done here pretty soon i have enough stuff laying 'round to slap one together but no sure what to go with , the biggest set of injectors i have is the dsm 440 cc.
this is going in a '88 HF rex with a built d-16a6 block with a flowing Y8 vtec head.

should i make a manifold with 2" runners , and use a outside gated garret t-3 .63 .63 on both sides (off ford) ?

or a std / hf manifold(#3 stamped on # 4 runner with another tdo5-12a inside gated missle sishi turbo.?
i'm looking to make the most power possible with what i got, and here is the list , hks s-afr piggy , z-dyne 91 si rex ecu ( high rev), 1:1 f.m.u. regulated , stock y8 manifold and ls t.b. 255 lph, mark 2 waste gate (35 mm)
440 cc d.s.m. squirterz , and a m.s.d. firing station , all the rest of ---- like missin link, hoses b.o.v. and neccessary stuff.

i figured some of you guys alreadt been at the power level i'm wanting .

my goal is mid 12's or lower without the aid of n.o.s. what turbo/manifold setup should i use , those are the biggest turbos i have . i have enough 2" and 2 1/2" mandrel bends to plumb a trailer park so manifold fab, or charge pipe isn't a problem.. i looking towards 18 to 25 psi of boost. if the lil d-16 can take it, it should...

thanks for the help on that 420a clpse w/ the td05-12a . getting the turbo leak free w/ the pointers. came out like a champ ,, dynoed out at 168 h.p and 158 trq at 8 psi thru a slushbox.. thanx . great site..

I may be a noob here but not to this game , my first h.m.t. landed me a 13.7 w nitto 555 drags on a d15b7 w/ y8 head in a 93 dx. 2 years ago.

but the quickest car ive owned was powered with a lil td05 12a turbo.

the d-16a6 has fresh eagle rods and j.e. 8.8:1 pistons .25 overbore.and blokguard.
y8 head w/ crower turbo cam. and eight s.s. exhaust valves. so i'm sure the d can handle power. but the reason for this question was i was hoping to get some positive feedback from those who are from the old school. for those who already replied from my first question please go read again. i said some of you guys probably already hit the power i'm seeing right now. maybe in the 285 to 330 hp range in a d-series just need some insight on how the super sixty will perform. please go read first question again...

word, i thought you said you've been here a while, that would mean that you've learned that blokguards are bad ideas.

as for your actual question, you've got both, so try them out. Just remember that at that kind of boost, most turbos are not efficient, meaning you'll have a lot of heat in the system. I'd suggest the bigger turbo if you can, but making it spool might take a lot of effort. Get everything else set up, and then bolt one on and go with it...
