Cylinder Brace is it worth it?
I have a question, i just brought a "Cylinder Brace" for my ZC. My question is, is it worth the100 bucks I spent for it for boost my ZC between 7-12psi with a with ZDYNE Super ECU Conversion Gold? Just woundering your thoughts on this cylinder brace wroth it or not i got it for the extra safety.

What the ---- is a cylinder brace? Do you mean a block guard? If it's a block guard throw it in the garbage. With zdyne gold and only 12 psi you won't need to do anything for the cylinder walls. Just make sure it's tuned well and you will be fine.

If your really worried about it, just pin the block. hella of a lot cheaper. I think jeff but a thing about it in the tech area.

I heard pinning creates high stress points at all the pins and actually do more harm than good. At least a block guard is a distributed load applying the brace all around the cylinders instead of a small concentrated stress point

try an AC Autotechnics cyl brace it promotes cooling

FYI... I've never seen any block guards availble for the ZC or D16a1.. A D16a6 one is differnet than a ZC one..

Im running 10 on my z6 and had it spike to 15 once.I think it should be alright.
