CXRacing turbo kits???

First off, I am a complete newb with turbos and anything related (mostly). Just wondering if the cx racing turbo kits are worth having? I'm basically shooting for 250-300 whp in a dc integra with obd2 gsr with stock internals.

This is the kit I am talking about: http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=TOKT

i dont normally bash another company. thats not how i do things. their kit costs more than mine after shipping and is not near as complete as my kits.

my kit is $800 shipped in the US and comes with a cast iron manifold rather than the tubular one and it also comes with a boost controller. you have to have the flange welded on to their downpipe where mine is bolt on. i could probably go on more, but here is a thread where i installed one of my kits on a 00 civic ex with a d16y8. the only difference in the d series turbo kit and the B kit is the manifold so it will all bolt up the same.

I've heard alot of good and bad reviews about these turbo kits. They are pretty expensive and for what you get and the quality of the items, you're better off building a junkyard kit. If this is something you don't want to do hit up EvansPerformance and I'm sure he can hook you up. I mean it's like he's said his turbos are Chinese but they last longer than the Ebay turbos. They'll get you by on 8-10 psi until you can get your engine built and get a good turbo.

I would not buy that kit. I know for a fact that CX Racing bar and plate intercoolers and piping is excellent. I have their FMIC on my car with their powder coated black 2.5" pipes/ couplers/ t-bolt clamps. I have no complaints and their piping is super thick, not cheap, and you will not break it like some crappy pipes out there. Their intercooler/ pipe and couple kits are pretty good. They do the whole thing for cheap. I know there are some guys on a nissan forum that love CX Racing intecoolers and radiators. As for the turbo... look for a used mitsu... 16g and that has enough to blow your crap up!

I 2nd the bar and plate intercooler. I have their 11x26 FMIC on my GSX that's seen 30 psig for the last year. I cannot, however, vouch for the turbo kit, but the FMIC is nice.

I have a 7"x28" intercooler kit that I got from them and it is nice. Bar and plate. CXRacing has some decent quality ---- but their turbos leave something to be desired.

those kinds of kits are a hit or a miss, also just like evansperformance says in his testing they do not like any type of higher boost levels (and his turbos are the better of the chinese ones)

that seems like very little for close to 800$ too...stay clear id say
