Custom turbo/manifold setup from a noob, don't laugh ;-)

I was just running some ideas through my head and thought i'd pass it around the forums. Keep in mind i have only been reading about turbo installs and have yet to do mine so don't rag on me to hard.

Was wondering what if you extend a exhaust manifold for the d series motors enough to rotate a t28/t3 turbo 90 degrees counter clockwise. Enough to get the down pipe in without hitting the block and creating a tunnel from the lower front of the hood to the intake of the turbo. Maybe out of fiberglass or something. Was looking at the ef series civic and figured the lower part of the hood would be perfect for a turbo inlet to get fresh air.

The only complication that this noob can see is the modification needed for the downpipe and manifold but i know there is a ton i'm missing so i'm dropping the idea here. What you guys think?
