Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
10 Attachment(s)
over the past few weeks i have put together a kit that my friend and i finally finished installing tonight. its made of basically a snow performance pump and controller. the lines i had to make so i can take the car to the track. they were kind of a pain to create but in the end it all worked out alright.
the only problem im having right now is figuring out what pressure to run the pump at. as you can see im going to be doing direct port injection. at the moment i have 4x100ml/min injectors. i quickly rigged the pump up to power to create a current and see just how much water it injected. IT WAS ALOT. i think maybe too much. it kinda scared me. the pump was almost turned down all the way. now mind you ill be starting at about 50/50 pure methyl hydrate/water. is this a good place to start? does anyone have some experience with this? i cant base the amount injected to anything i have seen so far so i guess ill just go conservative and see what happens. Attachment 24607 Attachment 24608 Attachment 24609 Attachment 24610 http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...9/IMG_1270.jpg Attachment 24611 Attachment 24612 Attachment 24613 Attachment 24614 Attachment 24615 Attachment 24616 |

Re: Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
very clean install and nice setup.
however, the one thing i would have done different would be to angle the WI nozzles towards the head more rather than a 90* shooting right into the bottom of the intake runner. |
Re: Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
thanks guys, if you look closely the jets are not perpendicular the runners. notice they are straight up and down with "level" but the runners are on the 30* angle. check out a side view and you will see!!

Re: Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
ah, i do see that now ;D
like i said, its still a nice setup, i would have just installed the nozzels at a little bit more of an angle. I am sure its going to work great for you though! |
Re: Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
It looks tits :D. Now time to make a little right up and how much did you spend?

Re: Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
good looking setup how much did the pump cost

Re: Custom Methyl Hydrate/Water Injection
In this case, you can either lower the pump speed (apparently yours is lowered all the way), or buy smaller nozzles. In other words, you have to buy smaller nozzles to reduce your flow.
