CT-26
Well the summer is coming and I promised my self to put a turbo by then; anyway some guy is selling me a turbo of a 1989 Toyota Supra is a CT-26. My question is since its going into my D16A6 is this turbo too big since it came out out of a bigger engine? How much turbo lag will I expect? Is the exhaust flange hard to make and can I use a HF manifold? What is the wastegate set at? Is it water cooled too? Any more specs will be appreciated? Thanx ;)

Re:CT-26
i'm pretty sure that it isn't too big of a turbo cause the supra is twin turbo right?
so that means that they would actually have to be pretty small quick spooling turbos to satisfy the engine... but if i'm wrong, someone please correct me. |
Re:CT-26
Acutally this model Supra only came with a single turbo, thanx for the reply :D

Re:CT-26
ooh...
well i've had friends use like the same turbo as the 94 supra, on their tegs, but i dunno about the old school ones... hmm, should be ok, but a bit laggy |
Re:CT-26
The CT26 should work pretty good on a D-series, a little bit of lag, but it will spool.

Re:CT-26
I thought about putting this CT26 turbo on my D16Z6, but decided not to because it's too big and heavy. The turbo and the flange together weights 34 lbs, that's heavy. I sold the turbo already and bought a T3 not as heavy as the CT26.

Re:CT-26
where did you get the ct26 flange from?
I have a ct26 /w a 60-1 compressor on my supra and I was wanting to put it on my integra but I cant find a flange? |
