any turbo up to a .42/.48 would be decent. the bigger the turbo the more lag. its all how you want it. I personally would start with a T25 on a SOHC motor. I had a T3, .42/.48 on my civic and it was a bit laggy for around town. you got it on the highway and it was everything I could give it.

so...
city/street uese. go with a T25
highways...T3

eveyone has there own opinion though.

a 14b is also a decent option. As far as chipping your ecu, is it a 90-91? (should end in A06 or A09)
