Default crushing bov

is it possible to crush the dsm bov too much? I smackedededededed mine with a rubber mallet about 50 pounds strike, 1/4 inch lower than stock. is that too much smacking?

I sure hope its still good, cause I bling bling the ---- out of it, posished so pretty, and I dont plan to get a big name bov dsm is good enough for me.
