crankcase thought..
I'm sort of torn between an idea. Well im sick of smelling the crank gases since im running open pcv and valve cover ports. I know in a boosted honda u need ventilation but it smells and gives me a headache. What im thinking of doing is hooking back up the stock PCV with a check valve to make sure boost doesnt get thru, and the valve cover nipple right to pre turbo intake. I know this will be fine for low load but for higher load think ill be ok? Im just running 7 psi...what do you guys think will it be sufficient enough?

I don't see the point of introducing oil vapor back into your engine. If you hate the smell so bad route a hose to vent through your wheel well.

Re: crankcase thought..
It seems every time I just run an open pcv setup I have problems. I just sent a basically brand new turbo (4,000 miles) back to blaast because there was oil pissing out of the compressor housing in boost, so I'm going back to a check valve pcv setup so the crankcase is in vac all the time.
I would rather introduce a little vapor into the engine than sit without my honda and pay $250 every year just to have the turbocharger rebuilt. |

Re: crankcase thought..
instead of running a breather on your catch can route a hose to your turbo inlet. done :)

Re: crankcase thought..
weld a pipe into your exhaust so the fumes get sucked into the exhaust so you dont have to smell them. Works well
