This is a KA24de just swapped it in. Had a wiring problem and
my timing was locked at 10 degrees, ran good but I didnt notice
untill I popped the hood and the damn turbo was glowing from
normal light driving.
When I noticed that the breather also started to smoke a little.
Got comp tested and was 170 except for # 1 wich was 70psi.
So I took some gear oil I had put like 2 caps fulls in and it went
to 90psi on #1 cylinder.
Plugs are all 100% clean no oil on any of them. I'm thinking it
was just a small headgasket leak. I already pulled the head, gasket
looked worn but not busted. Maybe the head warped with the
retarded as timing and had a small leak
LMK what you guys think, I just dont wanna have to pull the motor
unless I have to.

everything felt normal AFR were spot on
after the 10miles
car was rough,

compression was
60 60 80 90

all 4 ringlands were gone!!

upside is rebuilding it was easy, this was my first motor i rebuilt
and cheap
