what can cause a cracked ringland? ive been boosting 10psi for 3 weeks and i already have a cracked ringland. the motor was tunned.

i heard if you still have your pcv valve in with around that much boost, it will build enough pressure up in the crankcase to destroy ringlands but that is just what i heard. I Destroyed ALL my ringlands on ALL of my pistons when mine spiked to 15psi and i still had the pcv valve in??

o yea bad ignition timming will do that too i believe.

The quality of the tune maters... total timming and target a/f. I recently broke ringlands in #3 cylinder, which i have come to the conclusion that it detonated while i was pushing it too hard on a very hot day. It kind of sucks but you get comfortable after awhile, end up pushing the envelope, and find the limits.

compression test, or look for blowby out your valve cover,

i have a greddy 15g kit on my d16z6. total timing was around 18-19. distributor timing was at 15. pcv valve was removed. i ran a house from the pcv housing to the turbo intake. it was tunned with 12.5 a/f ratio. is that lean?
