Im just making sure this is alright but the turbo im using a teo4h is oil and water cooled but i just blocked off the water part. I shouldnt have any problems should i ?

Re:Cooling
that will be fine. I'm not running any water lines with mine either. Just make sure you leave the car running for a little while once parked or get a turbo timer so you don't get oil buildup in the turbo.

Re:Cooling
Pretty much what he said.
There was a thread 5 or 6 weeks back about what to fill in the water passage spot. Some people use dirt, other people use chewing tobacco. You *might* want to consider maybe a cheap oil cooler to run, but this really depends on how hard you're running the car. Isn't this going on the dodge? |
Re:Cooling
yeah its the intrepid. I just bought two screw plugs and plugged the holes. And im not gonna be pushing her too hard around the 6psi mark.

Re:Cooling
why is it necessary to block the cooling holes off if you arnt running the coolant?
|
Re:Cooling
its not
|
Re:Cooling
Not necessary but why not fill it with something that will cool better then just air? Your call

Re:Cooling
I definitly plan on running the coolant soon. i was just worried i didnt block them off and something was gonna leak out of it lol

Re:Cooling
well by having an oil and water cooled turbo, you should have to run a turbo timer cuz its being suffeciently cooled..if i were you id just run the coolant, just use some rubber lines
