hey i found a nice conquest tsi turbo still in the car i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on the flange or has worked with one of these turbos befor thank you

 

if it's chrysler, it's a fucked flange. t3 with tard bolt pattern.

 

You sure? Conquest was a clone of the Starion, dsm crap. I though it still had an MHI flange because it's a 12a turbo. A quick google search will give you some answers.

It is a MHI turbo and it's similiar to the TD05H....the exhaust housing might be just like it but I'm not sure about the downpipe side were the downpipe, or 02 housing, whatever bolts up at...inlet flange is the same...

 

Td04H 12a is tiny. Makes the T25 look huge. Dont know if id use it, probably more trouble than its worth.

 

Get the car and ditch the whole engine/tranny. Those cars are sexy looking with the box flares.

 

Yeah it's a td04 12a. A 14b is a better turbo because of the bigger TD05H wheel and it's cheap. If you want a good rebuilt/ported/balanced/upgraded 14b I can supply you with one. The flange on the Starion 12a is the same as the 14b on the inlet, but the exit or o2 housing flange is different. It's not worth the trouble for a very old and very small turbo. Grab the IC off the car if it's still there though. It's perfect for a 14b powered car.

 

kk well some one beat me to the ic but i think im going to try the turbo cuz i probly wont have the money or time to finish the kit till like mid summer so im going to yank it and see wat i can do with it but thanks for the great info i would but the car looks like some one wrapped it around a tree or a pole complete u shape

 

wrong... 82 - 89 the conquest/starion came with a td05-12a only 2 differences where
86-89 waas intercooled 82- some 86-87 were non intercooled. yes it is a small turbo, like 240cfm
and its a T2 flange not a oddball T3 good thing though that TD05-12a can be upgraded to a 16g
for about 100-150$
forced performance has the wheels and i think they can machine the housing also.
or contact turbo-performance in van nuys,ca. BOB can rebuild & upgrade for 365$
