Compressor size too big? or something wrong.

So i fixed my spark problem, now i got new problems. :S

When i had a .48 cold .63 hot, on 7lbs, i could feel my turbo and it would put me back in the seat some. now i went to .60 cold .63 hot, on 9lbs, and its not a violent push anymore. is the sizing off? should i go smaller compressor? or am i just retarded. Its still "fast", just dont feel that push when the turbo kicks in.

Its on a stock b18b

I don't know hondas very well (disclaimer).
A .48 turbo will spool up significantly faster than a .60/.63. It gets worse as you decrease displacement.
Have a look at the compressor map. Do you know your approximate peak hp at max boost?

What you might be feeling is a turbo that's slower to spool up but has the same peak hp. I ran a .42/.48 on a 2.4L for a while and it would boost instantly...

It's all about that area under the hp curve, not necessarily the peak hp that makes your car feel fast.

Well the turbine hotside has stayed the same. just thought i would have better spool going with a bigger compressor side. but it seems its worse. i might try to look up another compressor side and try it to see the results.

you went with a t3 60 trim comp side?? they should be a great sized turbo for that motor

going up that little in size shouldnt significantly change how long it takes to spool, but it most definitely will take a little longer. a buddy of mine had the exact same hot side as i do on my turbo, and i jumped up one size on the comp side and i'm hitting full boost almost 600~800 rpms later. the price you pay for top end

Well, i took it to a shop around here. a guy drove it and said that it was the tune. But they only tune hondata there so gonna just wait and get a new tune. He said it was pushing more air and my ecu didnt know what to do so it skips. almost sounds like a misfire sometimes. but my plugs are down to .28 now and i have nology wires. and im running on 93 octane.

I really need to stop being a lazy ass and learn to tune.

its all been on a basemap. i am assuming its all the problem. but it just started doing it. im waiting till my ---- is solid with no leaks before the tune.
