Hey all! I have just joined and i hope to find what im looking for :D So to start off i have a 09 cobalt LT model and im wanting to turbocharge it but idk where a good place to get a turbo from :/ is ebay ANY GOOD?

The cliff notes version is that you can use a 2003+ Saab 9-3 exhaust manifold. It bolts right on, no modifications needed. According to that FAQ Hahn Racecraft sells manifolds on Ebay.

You may be able to get the entire Saab turbo assembly for a reasonable price.

For tuning/fuel enrichment, there are no options under $400. You're best option is to buy some larger injectors, 2 bar GM map sensor and get it tuned by a HP Tuners dealer. Here's one in Tempe, Az - Loud Pedal Motorsports »Home

According to GM's own Ecotec motorsport program that dominated Sport Compact Drag Racing in between 2007-2009; The stock engine is good to 250hp. However if you install rods and pistons, it can tolerate 400hp. So you have room to grow...

Those are the basics, I would need to know more about your goals and your car before making other suggestions.

just removed my turbo kit from my 06 cobalt. since you have an 09 you have more options as far as tuning. i would go with trifecta tune with larger injectors and a 2.5 bar map sensor. go with a quality turbo (garrett, ihi, borg warner, turbonetics, etc). you can buy a new kit for a ridiculous amount or you can piece one together with used parts for ~1500.00 - 2000.00 depending on the turbo.
